Welcome to Putnam County Parks
Putnam County Parks and Recreation is home to Waves of Fun, Valley Park, Esther and Norman Hiking Trail, and Mitchell’s Grove in Putnam County West Virginia. We offer walking trails, fishing ponds, a wave pool, sports facilities, conference center, shelters, dog park and more. We also provide numerous classes and events throughout the year.

Valley Park
Valley Park, located in Hurricane, WV, is a premier community destination offering a variety of recreational and event spaces for all ages. The park features state-of-the-art sports facilities, including turf soccer and baseball fields, playgrounds, and walking trails that weave through beautiful green spaces. Waves of Fun Water Park provides seasonal excitement with pools, slides, and splash zones. The Valley Park Conference Center is a modern venue for weddings, corporate events, and community gatherings. Additional amenities include picnic shelters, disc golf courses, and a fishing pond. Throughout the year, Valley Park hosts festivals, markets, and special events, making it a vibrant hub for residents and visitors alike.
